We are looking for skilled, professional, and well-experienced Medical Officers for the NICU and PICU/ General Care sections.”
Manage critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients under the supervision of the Consultant and provide timely emergency medical care as required.
Assess patients on admission by obtaining a detailed medical history, performing a comprehensive physical examination, and completing all required clinical documentation within the prescribed timeframe.
Assist Consultants in the day-to-day management of NICU and PICU patients under the supervision of the Registrar and implement treatment plans as directed.
Perform on-call duties to attend emergency admissions to the NICU and PICU and assist in the management of critically ill patients as advised by the Consultant.
Perform and monitor essential bedside clinical procedures, including endotracheal (ET) tube intubation and care, pulse oximetry monitoring, neonatal blood pressure monitoring, oxygen therapy, and other approved procedures within the scope of practice.
Provide effective counselling and regular updates to parents and attendants regarding the patient's condition, treatment plan, prognosis, and discharge planning.
Maintain good communication with supporting staff, colleagues and seniors.
Will have to undertake weekly 04 duties (12 hourly each) and Monthly 16 duties.
Conduct daily ward and cabin rounds to assess, diagnose, treat, and monitor admitted patients under the supervision of the Consultant, ensuring appropriate and evidence-based patient management.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies in the General Ward and Cabin, initiate immediate life-saving treatment, and coordinate with senior physicians for further management.
Prepare and maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient records, including admission notes, progress notes, treatment orders, investigation requests, and discharge summaries.
Communicate effectively with Consultants, nursing staff, patients, attendants, and other departments to ensure safe, timely, and multidisciplinary patient care.
Adhere to infection prevention and control (IPC) guidelines, patient safety standards, hospital policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and perform shift, night, weekend, and public holiday duties as assigned by the Hospital Management.
Any other task assigned by the management.
