BRAC Health Programme is launching an ambitious and innovative initiative the 360-Degree NCD Care Initiative to combat the rising burden of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) in Bangladesh, with a primary focus on hypertension and type-2 diabetes. In collaboration with the Government of Bangladesh and Medtronic LABS, this initiative aims to strengthen the prevention, early detection, and management of NCDs through a comprehensive, community-based approach. Leveraging BRAC’s extensive community health worker network, digital health technologies, and improved healthcare infrastructure, the initiative is designed to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to more resilient public health systems. As we expand this impactful programme, we are seeking dynamic and passionate professionals to join our team and help drive lasting change in public health across the country.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate closely with local government health officials including Divisional Directors (DD), Civil Surgeons (CS), and Upazila Health & Family Planning Officers (UHFPO).
Ensure adherence to national HTN and DM management protocol at NCD corners of Upazilla Health Complex.
Provide technical guidance to BHP’s frontline staff including Health Educators, Programme Organisers, and Shasthya Kormi (SKs) in NCD screening, referral, follow-up, and patient counseling.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor NCD service delivery and ensure quality and completeness.
Identify implementation challenges and work with local teams and government counterparts for timely resolution.
Represent the project in district and upazila level coordination meetings and advocacy platforms.
Organize or support training and refresher sessions for field staff and local health providers on NCD protocols, risk factor management, and patient follow-up systems.
Build capacity of SKs and POs to improve patient counseling, adherence monitoring, and behavior change communication.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
