Job Context:
∎ Plan, organize, and evaluate the activities concerning his/her field of action and the team associated, according to MSF values, policies and protocols and universal health standards, in order to warrant the quality and continuity of the health care and the development of the plan of action.
∎ Context Specific Accountabilities:
∎ Coordinating, assessing and supervising the proper functioning of the medical activities (Reproductive Health(RH)/SGBV/Occupational Health.), according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures and through the correct compilation and analysis of medical data regarding patients` health conditions.
∎ Implementation of MSF surveillance system and promptly report on any potential epidemic outbreak.
∎ Participation in health activities outside the clinic during vaccination program and assessments.
∎ Regular visits to the referral facilities, establish good relationships and MOU`s as required by MAM
∎ Coordination of medical response on epidemic disease outbreaks or emergencies together with PMR.
∎ Managing data collection, analysis, reporting. Ensuring quality of reports and identifying necessary program changes.
∎ Representation and communication in meetings with MoH agencies and NGO`s as needed.
∎ Responsible to implement the National Staff Health Policy with MAM/PMR. Supports in verifying the medical bills clearance.
∎ In absence of MAM takes up the responsibilities of project clinical sites.
∎ Participates and supports in the monthly reports according to guidelines (i.e. SitReps, medical statistical reports, etc.).
∎ Ensuring a continuous educational program/coaching is in place to address the learning and development needs of medical doctors, nurses and other medical team in the project clinical sites
∎ Other activities:
∎ Flexible in assisting other health care activities, gapfilling and emergency response activities
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Accountabilities:
∎ Ensures the quality of the treatments and care in the service, identify the areas for improvement and, together with the MAM, the optimal way to address them.
∎ When needed, act as a medical doctor; follow up the evolution of the hospitalized/IDP patients, through daily visits , consultations and examinations, prescribing the necessary treatment following MSF protocols, deciding whether they can be discharged or transferred to other departments - in collaboration with other doctors- and informing their family about the patient's evolution. Takes part in the shifts if needed.
∎ Plans and supervises, together with MAM and in collaboration with Human resources department, the personnel management of the area under his/her responsibility (recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and internal communication) to ensure the right resources, both in staffing and in knowledge, and to develop their skills.
∎ Coordinates and follows up the daily work plan of the team (absences, holidays).
∎ Act as focal point among the different actors in the centre and particularly in the service, for all medical matters.
∎ Ensures a right transfer of information within his/her domain and his responsibilities, towards the colleagues, doctors, nurses and their manager.
∎ In cases of specialized services, like Maternity or ER, organization of sorting system and of the adequate functioning of the ER room or the delivery room in collaboration with the nursing team or the midwifery in the service
∎ Follow up the activities and the supports services (like the bandage room) in order to improve their quality.
∎ Ensure the collection and analysis of epidemiological data, checking its validity and informing the line manager about any problem or complication of the patients illness, medical error and monitors the proper functioning of the department, equipment or material.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 59 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Medical Doctor MBBS or equivalent from accredited institution/Medical College plus 1-year clinical internship.
∎ Valid registration with the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.
∎ Working experience with MSF or other NGOs in developing countries is desirable.
∎ Experience in Occupational Health, tropical medicine, or post-registration experience in Public Health, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS/STDs, TB, general practice, general medicine or minor surgery.
∎ Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and of local languages.
∎ Good organizational knowledge and ability to work independently;
∎ Good communication skills: ability to interact as part of a multicultural and multi-disciplinary team, including PHC staff and patients.
∎ Essential computer literacy (word, excel)

Salary: Tk. 110000 - 120000 (Monthly)
