Job Context:
∎ Study Title: Prediction of disease severity in young children presenting with acute febrile illness in resource-limited settings
∎ Is a multicounty prospective observational study for 1-year.
∎ Objective: Develop a risk prediction algorithm, combining measurements of host biomarkers and clinical features at the point-of-triage, for children with an acute febrile illness.
∎ Goyalmara hospital will be one of the study sites alongside others in South east Asia.
∎ The medical doctor will be primary responsible for recruiting and overseeing patients into the Spot Sepsis study. The medical doctor will facilitate the team prepare document to start the study, monitor the study, and support the focal point in ensuring the study is conducted to the highest possible standards.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Study document preparation and local adaptation:
∎ Translation of necessary document to local language (this may include the PIS, ICF, CRF guide, or logbooks)
∎ With Epi, adaptation of eCRF to suit local needs; this includes making sure that questions in the CRF are appropriate, adding in data for several dropdown boxes (e.g. name of province, district, municipality).
∎ Coordinating with laboratory lead to ensure that sample labeling, and lab log can be done according to plan – and to communicate any appropriate adaptation when needed.
∎ Site activation checklist
∎ Supporting the Focal Point in preparation for site initiation:
∎ Ensure that everyone on the research team had a GCP certification
∎ Ensure that everyone on the research team attend training sessions assigned by the CTSG
∎ Attending the site initiation session
∎ Provision of any data that the primary investigator needs to judge whether the study site is ready to start patient recruitment.
∎ Study monitoring and reporting:
∎ Attend the Spot Sepsis monthly investigator meeting
∎ Provide support for the CTSG study monitoring through provision of appropriate documents and answering any outstanding questions
∎ Provision of data and reporting to CTSG Data Management team and the study’s statistician

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Essential recognized Medical Doctor diploma.
∎ Minimum two (02) year experience as a Medical Doctor or in clinical work.
∎ Desirable, previous experience in research.
∎ Having a good command in English is highly desirable, written and spoken.
∎ Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet).
∎ MSF OCBA is looking for a sensible and mature person who is meticulous in following protocols, able to work independently, a quick learner and most importantly, enthusiastic to participate in a research study.

Salary:
∎ Salary according to level 9 of the internal MSF salary grid = 111,840 BDT. Two (02) annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents.
