Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supporting the Country Representative (CR) in Dhaka and Deputy CR in Cox’s in defining, monitoring and updating the medical situation in the country and region, scanning health policies and needs in country and sharing information and analysis with the medical and operational coordinators for review/action;
∎ Developing and maintaining network of contacts with medical and humanitarian actors in Dhaka, relevant for MSF operations, focusing on Ministry of Health and Family Welfare/Directorate General of Health Services/Directorate General of Medical Education (MoHFW/DGHS/DGME) and relevant Government of Bangladesh (GoB) offices in coordination with Country Representative and Deputy CR in Cox’s Bazaar;
∎ Representing MSF activities towards local medical authorities, engaging with humanitarian actors and other stakeholders, including medical academics and civil society, on national and regional level, highlight medical concerns and medical dossiers prioritised by MSF;
∎ Contributing to MSF visibility and positive public image in alignment with the missions interest, through regular contacts with other actors active in the country, negotiating with authorities when necessary, in line with MSF charter, values and principles;
∎ Contributing to the analysis of medical humanitarian MSF activities in country in close collaboration with the medical coordinators; support in data analysis and trend spotting of main indicators across the missions;
∎ Contributing to the intersectional strategy, annual plan and budgets;
∎ Assisting in defining and implementing the staff health policies for international and locally hired staff in order to ensure its overall safety (i.e. monitors both physical and mental health state of staff.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Essential 3 years’ experience in relevant jobs, in MSF or other NGO’s in developing countries;
∎ Knowledge: Essential computer programs, data literacy and skilled in report writing; knowledge of PowerBi analysis is an asset, good knowledge of health infrastructure in Bangladesh
∎ Competences: Strategic Vision, Analytical Thinking, Planning and organising, Networking and building relationships Service Orientation,Teamwork and Cooperation
Salary:
∎ Salary according to level 13 of the internal MSF salary grid, (BDT 197305 – 236766, Gross) at step ‘0-10’.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Contract duration to be determined. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical reimbursement for employee and direct dependents.
