Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Social Science (MSS) in Communication and Media Studies, Journalism, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Anthropology, Sociology or other related fields.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collaborate with Nari Maitree team to efficiently and creatively craft and implement media (including social media) strategies for this initiative.
∎ Develop and implement strategies to increase the engagement of leading media (print & electronic) for supporting the goals and communications objectives of this initiative.
∎ Build and cultivate proactive and strong relationships with journalists (editors/ reporters) for effective media coverage of issues related to this initiative.
∎ Work in conjunction with social media experts for developing & executing effective website and social media campaigns.
∎ Experience working and building collaborative relations with Government, NGOs, Policymakers, media, private sector and relevant departments/stakeholders.
∎ Working experience with policymakers and advocates at national, district and local levels.
∎ Experience in organizing workshops, Seminars, training and meetings with stakeholders, etc.
∎ Experience to prepare reports, concept note, relevant schedules, modules, planning, implementing, coordinating and management of advocacy-related activities with partners, Government and policymakers.
∎ Design social media posts, infographics, banners, festoons, brochures etc.
∎ Produce relevant material for campaigning and advocacy purposes e.g. leaflets, media articles, op-Eds/editorials, features, newsletters, one-pager etc.
∎ Prepare news, blogs, press releases, event reports, monthly reports, or any other promotional content for the website and social media.
∎ Proven commitment and dedication to the organization.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ The applicants should have 2-3 years experience in the following area(s):Campaign Planning, Communication/ Public Relation/ Media, Good in English, Online Campaign, policy advocacy.
∎ Strong reporting and monitoring skills in line with requirements of institutional donors.
∎ Written and oral communications skills in English and Bengali
∎ Excellent IT skills; Relevant experience in graphics design, Video Editing, Designing, report writing, and documentation will be given priority
∎ Able to operate virtual platform like Zoom/Skype/Team etc.
∎ Practicing gender and cultural diversity.
∎ A demonstrable understanding of NGO media/advocacy work in the context of development;
∎ Females are encouraged to apply.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
∎ Consolidated Tk. 40,000/- (BDT) per month and other admissible benefits as per organization rules. (Inclusive of all applicable Tax as per the law of Bangladesh)
