∎ Job Summary: As a MEAL Officer for the “Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (BPRM) project for Food Security & Livelihood and Child protection sectors” Project, will play a crucial role in ensuring effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of project activities. The Project aims to empower and uplift young individuals on Food Security & Livelihood and Child protection in their community and engagement with relevant Stake holder in the project area through various programs and initiatives, and the role will be pivotal in tracking the progress, impact, and outcomes of these interventions.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ A Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring effective project implementation and improvement. The job description for a MEAL Officer typically includes the following responsibilities and qualifications:
∎ Monitoring:
∎ Develop and implement a robust monitoring system to track project activities and outputs.
∎ Regularly collect and analyse data to assess the progress of project activities.
∎ Ensure that monitoring activities are conducted in a timely and systematic manner.
∎ Evaluation:
∎ Plan and conduct evaluations of project outcomes and impact using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
∎ Collaborate with external evaluators, as needed, and manage the evaluation process.
∎ Produce evaluation reports with actionable recommendations for program improvement.
∎ Accountability:
∎ Establish and manage a feedback and complaints mechanism for project stakeholders.
∎ Ensure that accountability mechanisms are integrated into project activities.
∎ Facilitate and respond to feedback from beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
∎ Learning:
∎ Facilitate learning sessions and reflection workshops for project staff.
∎ Promote a culture of continuous learning within the organization.
∎ Document and share lessons learned from project implementation.
∎ Data Management:
∎ Design and maintain a data management system for storing and organizing project-related information.
∎ Ensure data quality and accuracy, and implement data security measures.
∎ Generate regular reports on project performance for internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Capacity Building:
∎ Provide training and capacity-building support to project staff on monitoring and evaluation techniques.
∎ Collaborate with team members to build a culture of accountability and learning.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on project progress and results.
∎ Ensure that reporting requirements for donors and other stakeholders are met.
∎ A MEAL Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are implemented effectively, and their impact is assessed and improved upon over time. The position requires a combination of technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings for the benefit of project stakeholders.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 14 years
∎ At least 02 years experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in youth-focused project.
∎ Written and spoken fluency in Bangla, English is essential.
∎ Advanced Excel and Microsoft Word abilities. Computer Knowledge is a must (MS Word, Excel – typing Bangla and English). The applicant will participate in a competitive computer test.
∎ Ability to prepare and lead report compilation.
∎ Experience with or interest in mobile data collection (Kobo, Compare, ODK).
∎ Experienced in data management software will be highly appreciated.
∎ Ability to communicate in the local dialect (Chittagonian Dialect).
∎ Ability to write clear and concise reports case stories in English and Bangla.
∎ Strong analytical and data management skills.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Familiarity with relevant monitoring and evaluation tools and methodologies.
∎ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
∎ Proficiency in data analysis software and Microsoft Office applications.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 60000 (Monthly)
∎ Consolidated Salary Including Fringe Benefit per month BDT 60,000
