∎ This position is contingent on approval of the Accelerating Reductions in Adolescent Childbearing (ARaC) grant.
∎ Proposal Summary: Food for the Hungry Bangladesh is seeking a Monitoring, Accountability, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL) Manager for an upcoming five-year USAID-funded Accelerating Reductions in Adolescent Childbearing (ARaC) program in Bangladesh. The program will focus on four key objectives: 1) Increased Ability of Adolescents to Exercise Their Right to Delay Marriage and Early Childbearing; 2) Strengthened Social Support to Delay Marriage And Early Childbearing; 3) Strengthened Essential Services for Adolescents and Their Families; and 4) Institutionalized Effective Solutions. The program will have a duration of five years and will begin its implementation in 2023.

∎ Position Summary: The MEAL Manager will lead the program MEAL strategy and its effective implementation. It will oversee all MEAL activities across ARaC program that leads to robust evidence for data use and decision making, including assessments /surveys & routine gathering of project implementation information collection; accountability to beneficiaries, donors, and other stakeholders; document retention and archival; capacity development of Rural Resilience staff on MEAL; compliance with USAID MEAL requirements; cross-learning among projects; and FH and USAID reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead quality MEAL system design, budgeting, and management of MEAL implementation involving tools and methods, appropriate to scope in line with donors.
∎ Lead the development of project-level Theories of Change, Results Frameworks, Programs related MEAL system tools and components, and accompanying MEAL narratives.
∎ Ensure quality data capture, input and quality data management, qualitative and quantitative analysis, reflection, and ongoing use of MEAL data results through respectful management of agreed processes.
∎ Monitor activities, including timely collection of quality data, set up and maintenance of databases, facilitation of participatory reflection on monitoring results, and submission of timely progress reports.
∎ Oversee capacity strengthening initiatives in conducting MEAL activities for FH MEAL staff and partners.
∎ Lead development of learning strategies, conduct trainings, workshops, and coaching.
∎ Conduct regular field visits to ensure all elements of the MEAL system are being utilized effectively, assessing, and identifying breakdowns and areas that require clarifications and improvements.
∎ Contribute to monthly reports and other ad hoc reports to meet donor and internal requirements.
∎ Other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a Christian commitment to serving the poor and in full agreement with FH’s Christian beliefs.
∎ Demonstrated computer-operating skills, including proficiency in Google platforms, Microsoft Office products, and virtual technologies such as Skype and Zoom.
∎ Ability to conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting of publishable quality.
∎ Ability to independently develop monitoring and reporting systems that include appropriate indicators, baseline data, and targets.
∎ Evaluate performance and produce timely, accurate, and complete reporting.
