Experience:
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree (or HSC with strong relevant experience) in any discipline; Statistics, Social Science or Development Studies preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in survey or data collection; humanitarian experience is preferred.
Key Skills and Competencies
• Experience with mobile data collection tools (KoBo, ODK or similar).
• Attention to detail and accuracy; good interviewing skills.
• Ability to work respectfully with vulnerable populations.
• Good command of Bangla; knowledge of Chattogram dialect or Rohingya language is an advantage.

• Adhere to the GUSS Code of Conduct, safeguarding and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policies.
• Willingness to work in the camp environment and to travel as needed. Women candidates and candidates from the host community are strongly encouraged to apply.
Language
• Reading and writing in Bangla fluently.
• Speaking fluently in Rohingya or Chittagongian language.

Position Summary
The MEAL Data Collector supports Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities through accurate and timely data collection using approved tools.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct household surveys, Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM), monitoring visits and needs assessments.
• Verify beneficiaries and follow up on feedback and complaints.
• Record field observations and ensure data quality and proper documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality of data and follow safeguarding rules at all times.
• Submit collected data on time to support monitoring and reporting.
• Submit collected data daily or as scheduled, within the agreed timelines, to support weekly, monthly and donor reporting.
• Prepare brief daily or weekly activity reports, covering the number of households surveyed, challenges faced and key observations.
• Support the MEAL team in preparing summaries of PDM results, feedback trends and monitoring findings.
• Coordinate with Camp-in-Charge (CiC) offices, Site Management and community leaders (Majhis) as required, following established access and protocol procedures.
• Share field feedback and community concerns with project and MEAL staff to inform decisions and programme improvement.
