Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum HSC (SSC with strong experience considered); preference for candidates from the host community of Ukhiya.

• Prior experience in community outreach or mobilization is an advantage.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Good communication and interpersonal skills; good knowledge of local languages.

• Respectful attitude towards Rohingya and host communities.

• Willingness to work in the field and follow safeguarding rules.

Other Requirements

• Adhere to the GUSS Code of Conduct, safeguarding and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policies.

• Willingness to work in the camp environment and to travel as needed. Women candidates and candidates from the host community iin Cox’s bazar are strongly encouraged to apply.

Language

• Reading and writing in Bangla fluently.

• Speaking fluently in Rohingya or Chittagongian language.

Working Hours

• 6 hours daily (Saturday to Thursday)

Position Summary

Community Outreach Workers are host community-level positions supporting household outreach, awareness and community mobilization across the targeted camps.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct household visits and awareness sessions on shelter safety and protection messages.

• Support shelter assessments and community meetings.

• Support distribution activities and shelter construction training to households.

• Support beneficiary identification and verification.

• Facilitate inclusive community participation and ensure vulnerable host groups are not excluded.

• Relay community feedback, concerns and protection issues to the project team.
