Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oxfam is looking for MEAL Coordinator to contribute in MEAL programming through providing direct operational support and to execute the on-field implementation of MEAL activities in the working areas of Cox's Bazar district, Bangladesh.
∎ The core purpose of this position is to provide support to assigned programme(s), projects and partners of Oxfam to ensure improved programme quality & implementation;
∎ Availability of timely and high-quality data and reports for informed management decisions;
∎ Accountability and lesson learning for evidence generation and adaptive programming.
∎ MEAL Coordinator with the support of Deputy Humanitarian Programme Manager will be responsible for providing direct support to all programmes in Ukhiya & Teknaf areas in devising their operation in the light of ongoing Change Management process, Results frameworks, MEAL plans, capacity building of staff and partners, development of accountability mechanisms at the host/community level, support the design of evaluation and studies, etc. harmonized with Oxfam Common Approach to MEL and Social Accountability (CAMSA).
∎ The coordinators will also support the review and learning processes for the programmes/ projects.
∎ She ensures that strong MEAL system is in place as per CAMSA standards so that the implementation of the programs is of high quality and accountable to beneficiaries, partners and donors.
∎ The MEAL coordinator will also be responsible to ensure that the donor reports for the relevant projects/programmes are of high quality and timely submitted.
∎ Completion and quality assurance of Global Output Reporting (GOR) and One Programme Reporting (OPR) must be ensured.
∎ She will actively participate in developing standardized MEAL tools for the project such as monitoring sheets;
∎ Progress analysis reports etc. and contribute to training the reporting staffs in the field of MEAL system, ensuring that they use the required formats/sheets and systems effectively as required and desired.
Additional Requirements:
∎ You will bring at least total five years' experience of work in development/humanitarian sectors and preferably 2 years in leading MEAL team humanitarian programs in an international non-profit Organization;
∎ Strong technical understanding of a range of monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEAL);
∎ Fluent oral and written communication skills in both Bangla and English languages;
∎ Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relations with multicultural and multi ethnic teams, including working with partner organizations;
∎ Experience and commitment to promote equity, gender and diversity and ability to remain calm, work under pressure and tight deadline without losing sight of strategic objectives;
∎ Ability to work effectively with others to achieve results, with strong advisory / facilitation skills and experience in training and coaching teams and individuals - especially in MEAL.
Salary:
∎ BDT. 1,722,303 per annum (13 months)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Plus 10% market supplement with other benefits e.g. hardship allowance, medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.
