A nurse supervisor oversees daily clinical operations, manages nursing staff, and ensures high standards of patient care within a healthcare facility.

Leadership and Team Management

• Assigns shifts and duties to match patient needs with staff availability.

• Mentors and trains new or less experienced nurses.

• Evaluates performance through regular staff reviews and feedback.

• Resolves conflicts and handles staff or patient complaints professionally.

Patient Care and Clinical Oversight

• Monitors patient progress and reviews nursing care plans.

• Acts as a liaison between patients, families, and the medical team.

• Ensures safety protocols and high clinical standards are strictly met.

• Manages critical incidents or medical emergencies on the floor.

Administrative Tasks

• Manages scheduling to ensure 24/7-unit coverage.

• Maintains records for both patients and staff while keeping compliance with regulations.

• Allocates resources and orders necessary medical equipment or supplies.

• Enforces policies set by hospital management
