Responsibilities & Context:
Key Job Responsibilities:
Collect blood and other clinical specimens accurately and safely.
Ensure proper patient identification, labeling, handling, storage, and transportation of specimens.
Follow standard procedures for infection prevention, biosafety, and patient safety.
Maintain proper records of collected samples and coordinate with the laboratory team.
Handle patients professionally and provide appropriate guidance before and after sample collection.
Perform other duties related to sample collection as assigned by the authority.
Required Skills & Competencies
Good knowledge of venipuncture and different specimen collection techniques.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy.
Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
