Job Summary:
We are looking for a Data Entry Executive responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining patient and hospital-related data. The candidate should have good computer skills and a basic understanding of medical and ophthalmic terminology to ensure accurate entry of clinical information.
Enter and update patient information, OPD records, investigations, diagnoses, procedures, surgeries, and follow-up data.
Maintain accurate electronic and/or physical patient records.
Enter medical and ophthalmic terms correctly as provided by doctors and clinical staff.
Verify data for accuracy and completeness and correct errors when identified.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, optometrists, technicians, and administrative staff when clarification of records is required.
Handle data related to OPD, IPD, investigations, surgeries, pharmacy, optical services, and follow-up patients.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of hospital records.
Perform other data-entry and administrative tasks assigned by management.
Minimum HSC/Diploma/Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Good typing speed with high accuracy.
Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, email, and basic computer applications.
Basic understanding of medical terminology is required, preferably ophthalmic terminology.
Ability to understand common terms related to eye diseases, investigations, procedures, and surgeries.
Good English reading and spelling ability.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work with confidential patient information.
Previous experience in a hospital, eye hospital, clinic, diagnostic center, or healthcare organization will be an advantage.
The candidate should be able to understand and correctly enter common ophthalmic terms such as:
Eye conditions: Cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, refractive error, conjunctivitis, pterygium, chalazion, corneal ulcer, retinal detachment, etc.
Investigations: Visual acuity, IOP, OCT, fundus examination, B-scan, keratometry, pachymetry, visual field, etc.
Procedures & surgeries: Phacoemulsification, PCIOL, DCR, DCT, pterygium excision, trabeculectomy, retinal injection, vitrectomy, graft procedures, etc.
Common abbreviations: OPD, IPD, VA, IOP, OD, OS, OU, OCT, PCIOL, IOL, DCR, DCT, etc.
