Responsibilities & Context:
Perform routine laboratory investigations in Hematology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, Immunology, and Microbiology as assigned.
Collect, receive, label, process, and preserve patient specimens following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analyzers.
Ensure quality control (QC) procedures and maintain accurate laboratory records.
Prepare and verify laboratory reports for review and timely delivery.
Maintain proper inventory of laboratory reagents, consumables, and equipment.
Follow infection prevention and control measures, laboratory safety protocols, and biomedical waste management procedures.
Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality diagnostic services.
Perform any other duties assigned by the hospital authority. Medical technologists are expected to follow standard laboratory procedures, maintain quality assurance, and ensure accurate diagnostic testing in hospital settings.
