Additional Requirements:
  • Age 22 to 42 years

Diploma in Nursing Science & Midwifery / B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.

Valid registration with the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC).

Relevant hospital nursing experience will be preferred.

For NICU: Experience in NICU, neonatal care, pediatric care, or critical care nursing will be preferred.

Strong clinical, patient-care, and monitoring skills.

Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and respond appropriately to emergency situations.

Responsible, disciplined, punctual, and professionally committed.

Willingness to work according to assigned duty rosters, including night duties.

Must maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and professional ethics.

Must follow the hospital's religious values, ethical standards, policies, and SOPs.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities

Ward (Male):

  • Provide safe and quality nursing care to admitted male patients according to their clinical needs and treatment plans.

  • Monitor patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition and promptly report any significant changes to the concerned Medical Officer or Consultant.

  • Administer prescribed medications, injections, IV fluids, treatments, and other nursing interventions accurately and safely.

  • Maintain accurate patient charts, nursing notes, medication records, and other required documentation.

  • Assist Medical Officers and Consultants during examinations, procedures, and emergency interventions.

  • Ensure proper admission, transfer, and discharge procedures and provide necessary instructions to patients and attendants.

  • Maintain infection prevention and control practices and ensure cleanliness, patient privacy, and safety within the ward.

NICU (Female):

  • Provide specialized nursing care to neonates according to their clinical condition and treatment plan.

  • Closely monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, temperature, feeding, and other relevant clinical parameters.

  • Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, nutritional support, and other treatments accurately and safely.

  • Assist Medical Officers and Consultants during neonatal examinations, procedures, emergency interventions, and resuscitation when required.

  • Provide appropriate nursing care to neonates receiving oxygen or respiratory support.

  • Maintain accurate NICU records, observation charts, medication records, nursing notes, and treatment documentation.

  • Immediately report any deterioration or emergency condition to the concerned Medical Officer or Consultant.

  • Maintain proper infection control, hygiene, equipment readiness, patient safety, and confidentiality within the NICU.

For Both Positions:

  • Coordinate effectively with Medical Officers, Consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of patient care.

  • Supervise and guide junior nursing staff and ensure proper implementation of nursing procedures and departmental instructions.

  • Handle patient or attendant concerns professionally and report significant issues to the appropriate authority.

  • Strictly comply with hospital policies, nursing protocols, SOPs, infection control standards, and patient safety requirements.

  • Perform other nursing and departmental duties assigned by the hospital authority.
