Responsibilities & Context:
∎ SCOPE OF ROLE:
∎ • Staff reportable to: Project Coordinator.
∎ • Staff maintain liaison with: MLS, MEO, AAO, Peer Educator and WFP Officials.
∎ • Staff based at Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.
∎ Specific Role:
∎ • Create new design periodically and distribute to producers.
∎ • Develop online page (web page) to promote handicrafts items.
∎ • Establishing relationship/communication with various handicrafts org. across the country and linking up for product selling through online and offline.
∎ • Establish and maintain a list of local enterprises in the targeted group of businesses;• Identify the potential enterprises for market support.
∎ • Facilitate Producer Groups to develop marketing plan and meet entrepreneurs for other technical needs.
∎ • Planning, organization and marketing for local events “bazaars” that helps The Business Development Services to generate income and also increases the business opportunities.
∎ • The MLO will also develop and organize market linkages plan that connects pre-identified buyers to farmers.
∎ • Facilitate linkages between traders and beneficiaries and link producers to new market opportunities.
∎ • Build the capacity of producers to fully understand the advantages of using linkages work to create new and/or diversified market linkages.
∎ • Training and coaching of producers/producer’s groups to better understand and analyze their markets.
∎ • Collaborate and maintain relationships with the private sectors/different off-farm out lets/traders.
∎ • Create liaison and good coordination with Government and non-government organization.
∎ • Attend different meeting, training, workshop and other event activities.
∎ • Field visit on regular basis in respective upazilas, local markets and outlets and relevant areas.
∎ • Supervise to MLS, and Peer Educator to ensure market linkages considering project objectives.
∎ •Regular field report to concern authority.
