Job Context:
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed Term up to 31 December 2020
∎ Salary and Benefits As per organisational policy
∎ Job Purpose: S/he is responsible for all the business related activities including initial rapid food processing and small business assessment and beneficiary identification, identification of available market opportunities for beneficiary products, input procurement and distribution, project implementation supervision, field monitoring and team management.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Implementation: The MDO will lead in beneficiary targeting according to specific selection criteria in liaison with other project staff and the wider nutrition department in Concern Worldwide Emergency Response Program.
∎ Lead in a rapid market situation analysis to establish demand and supply opportunities of commodities, and identify livelihood options for men and women and vulnerable groups in the camps, according to the project design.
∎ Coordination: Support effective coordination, collaboration and networking within and outside Concern such as the relevant sector and CiC camp level coordination mechanisms and consultation with WFP as appropriate.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation: Work closely with the MEAL team to ensure that relevant tools are available to the field team as well as database to compile project deliverables
∎ Reporting: Support the project coordinator in submitting reports and documenting lessons learnt throughout the project for replication and modification along the project cycle
∎ Additional Roles: Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's HR policies, Concern's Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Director/Emergency Director or the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years of experience working on market system development in livelihoods and small businesses
∎ Experience in supply chain work, life skills trainings or capacity building
∎ Understanding of livelihood program framework in the Rohingya response
∎ Demonstrated experience in Livelihoods programming
∎ Experience in team management, capacity building and supervision
∎ Excellent organisational, leadership and interpersonal skills
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is desirable
