About the Role
We are looking for a data-driven Market Analyst to support our seed business by tracking market trends, competitor activity, dealer/farmer demand patterns, and crop season dynamics. The ideal candidate combines strong agribusiness market research skills with working knowledge of AI-based analysis tools, helping the team move from raw data to fast, actionable insight.
Key Responsibilities
Track and analyze seed market trends (hybrid and inbred varieties), pricing, demand forecasts, and competitor positioning across regions and crop seasons (Boro, Aman, Aus, Rabi, etc.)
Monitor dealer and distributor sales data to identify booking trends, regional demand gaps, and underperforming territories
Conduct competitor benchmarking — variety performance, pricing, promotional activity, and market share movements
Use AI-based tools (e.g., LLMs, predictive analytics platforms, or in-house AI dashboards) to summarize large datasets, generate market reports, and surface trends faster than manual analysis allows
Build and maintain demand forecasting models, incorporating weather patterns, government policy changes, and historical sales data
Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for sales, product, and leadership teams ahead of each cropping season
Support pricing and promotional strategy with data-backed recommendations
Conduct primary research where needed — farmer surveys, dealer interviews, field visits — to validate desk-based findings
Stay current on industry developments: new variety registrations, seed policy changes, import/export trends, and competitor product launches
