1. Strategic Procurement & Sourcing
Lead and manage the procurement of Capital Machinery, Electrical & Mechanical Equipment, Spare Parts and related services from local and international sources.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective, timely and quality procurement aligned with organizational objectives.
Identify, evaluate and onboard potential suppliers while maintaining a robust supplier database and alternative sourcing channels.
2. Procurement Operations
Manage the complete procurement cycle, including requirement analysis, RFQ/RFP preparation, bid evaluation, commercial negotiations, purchase order issuance, contract administration and order close-out.
Oversee Letter of Credit (LC) opening processes, import documentation, shipment tracking, customs-related coordination and ensure on-time delivery of procured items.
Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
3. Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and service providers.
Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on quality, delivery, cost and service metrics.
Lead supplier review meetings, provide performance feedback and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Cost Optimization & Market Analysis
Analyze market trends, pricing movements and supply-demand dynamics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation.
Perform cost-benefit analyses, benchmarking and scenario planning to support strategic procurement decisions.
Negotiate favorable commercial terms and contracts to maximize organizational value.
5. Supply Chain & Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate closely with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Finance and other stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement and supply chain operations.
Review and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reliability and sustainability.
Ensure timely fulfillment of internal material requirements and minimize operational disruptions.
6. Risk Management & Compliance
Identify, assess and mitigate procurement and supply chain risks, including supplier dependency, delivery delays, quality concerns and market volatility.
Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable environmental policies, standards, regulations and legal requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts and supplier documentation for future reference and audit purposes.
7. Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Establish performance objectives, monitor KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews.
Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team.
Analyze team performance metrics and implement corrective actions to ensure achievement of procurement targets and business objectives
