Experience:
Master’s in any discipline (B.Sc. in Textile will be preferred).
Strong knowledge of the women’s apparel market, particularly woven tops and skirts.
Good Knowledge of costing and product development.
Proven track record of managing key accounts.
Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and other relevant software.
Strong analytical ability and work as a strategic thinker.
Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships and good teamwork.
Develop and implement comprehensive merchandising strategies, including assortment planning, pricing, and promotion.
Oversee the entire product development process, from initial concept to final production.
Deal with the Buyers independently for all merchandising activities including product development, instant price quotation, negotiation and sourcing.
Monitor overall production process, analyze monthly production plan and ensure all pre-production approvals and continuous supply of materials are in place to ensure flawless execution.
Engage in costing and price negotiation with customers and vendors and prepare costing sheets with all the necessary breakdowns from factories.
Develop short and long-range operations objectives and notify the management of any problems that may impact or risk the achievement of current and future objectives.
Provide constructive feedback to the management on necessary changes and improvements, implement and monitor approved changes.
Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify opportunities and gaps in the market.
Introducing new sourcing and developments, ensure good supply chain, product sourcing, product management, vendor management and quality management.
Develop and sustain strong relationships with all vendors.
Establish a long-range plan on capacity and business growth to leverage low cost and improve on-time delivery.
Leverage sales data, customer insights, and analytics to refine strategies and maximize profitability.
Lead and mentor a team of merchandisers, providing guidance and support & foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
