Responsibilities & Context:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead the Transport & Logistics department.

Job location will be Head Office, Gulshan - 2, Dhaka - 1212.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily transport operations including route planning, scheduling, and ensuring timely movement of goods and staff.

  • Oversee fleet management by maintaining vehicles, controlling fuel usage, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

  • Coordinate logistics activities with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.

  • Monitor and optimize vehicle utilization to improve efficiency and reduce idle time.

  • Prepare and control logistics and transport budgets to minimize operational costs.

  • Ensure compliance with transport laws, company policies, and safety regulations.

  • Supervise drivers and logistics staff, ensuring discipline, performance, and proper training.

  • Manage fuel consumption and implement cost-saving initiatives.

  • Handle transport vendors and negotiate contracts and service agreements.

  • Manage third-party logistics vendors by monitoring performance, service quality, and cost efficiency.

  • Implement and manage GPS tracking systems for real-time vehicle monitoring and control.

  • Track and resolve transport delays, breakdowns, and operational issues promptly.

  • Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, maintenance, and deliveries.

  • Analyze performance data and generate reports for management decision-making.

  • Continuously improve logistics processes to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

  • Prepare PL, Utilization, Fuel, Maintenance report and yearly / half yearly budget.

  • Any other tasks as assigned by the management.
