• Minimum 3–5 years’ managerial experience with Mandatory prior experience in the Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Shipping industry.

• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, CargoAim, ERP systems) and advanced MS Excel.       

• Strong reconciliation and analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to details.

• Comprehensive knowledge of VAT/TAX regulations, AIT, TDS, and WHT compliance.

• In-depth knowledge in freight accounting, agent settlements, and customs documentation.

• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic finance professional to lead the Finance & Accounts function, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee financial reporting and reconciliations, and maintain strong financial control in line with international freight forwarding and logistics standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee all finance & accounts functions including General Ledger, A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and fund management.

• Establish, implement, and enforce internal financial policies, controls, and SOPs to ensure financial discipline and transparency.

• Ensure timely collection of freight receivables and strict enforcement of credit control policies.

• Perform comprehensive Statement of Accounts (SOA) reconciliation with overseas freight agents, co-loaders, airlines, and shipping lines.

• Monitor and ensure timely settlement of overseas agent payments within operational deadlines.

• Prepare monthly Bangladesh Bank reports and maintain encashment certificates in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Verify and ensure accuracy of all compliance documentation including VAT, AIT, TDS, and CNF certificates.

• Ensure timely submission of VAT returns, tax filings, and statutory payments as per government regulations.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.

• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and conduct variance analysis for management review.

• Maintain healthy cash flow and working capital to ensure uninterrupted logistics operations.

• Conduct profitability analysis of shipments, customers, and trade lanes to support pricing and business decisions.

• Coordinate closely with Operations, Sales, and Customs teams to ensure seamless financial workflow.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure accountability, performance excellence, and operational efficiency.
