∎ Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Banking, with at least 2 years in a Managerial capacity within credit recovery, special asset management.
∎ In-depth knowledge of relevant Bangladeshi Banking Laws, Regulations and Recovery Processes (including, but not limited to, the Negotiable Instrument Act and Artha Rin Adalat Ain).
∎ A proven track record of successfully managing NPL portfolios and achieving significant recovery targets.
∎ Exceptional leadership, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
∎ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to minimise the Bank's NPL ratio, focusing on maximising recoveries and asset regularisation.
∎ Overseeing the diligent monitoring of the entire credit portfolio, with particular emphasis on Corporate, Retail, SME & Agri loan accounts.
∎ Analysing portfolio trends to identify emerging risks and proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
∎ Manage relationship with the non-performing Retail, Corporate & SME borrowers of the Bank and thereby reduce Bank’s NPL ratio at sustainable level.
∎ Visit the customer’s business premises, residential addresses, mortgaged properties, Tahsil offices and other relevant locations to verify and collect information.
∎ Spearheading negotiations and interventions for challenging overdue accounts, providing expert counsel and resolution strategies.
∎ Overseeing and authorising the initiation of critical documentation, including memos for settlements, waivers, loan rescheduling or restructuring and termination of agreements.
∎ Managing and directing correspondence with employers and relevant authorities for the realisation of dues from service benefits, where applicable.
∎ Determine account plan/exit/recovery strategy for special assets and achieve planned recovery targets.
∎ Directing and methodically monitoring all litigation activities pertaining to Retail, SME, Agri and Corporate loan portfolios.
∎ Developing, implementing and refining standardised processes for all legal recovery actions, including, but not limited to:Filing cases under the Negotiable Instrument Act.Initiating suits under the Artha Rin Adalat Ain.Coordinating with law enforcement agencies for the execution of Arrest Warrants.

∎ Strategising and managing the process for the auction and sale of mortgaged properties, ensuring optimal value realisation in compliance with legal frameworks.
∎ Overseeing the enlistment, performance monitoring and coordination of external recovery agencies.
∎ Developing and managing efficient payment processing systems for empanelled agency services.
∎ Ensure the integrity and operational efficiency of the Special Asset Management (SAM) Management Information System (MIS), facilitating accurate data capture and robust reporting.
∎ Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and regulatory requirements with the Bangladesh Bank.
∎ Ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and submission of all requisite reports to the CRO, Senior Management and regulatory bodies.
∎ Preparing and circulating comprehensive monthly portfolio analysis reports, offering insights and recommendations to management.
∎ Upholding the highest standards of compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements in all SAM activities.
∎ Leading, mentoring and inspiring the SAM collection team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
∎ Conducting regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and identifying development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and output.
∎ Implementing robust training programs to continuously upgrade the skills and knowledge of team members.
∎ Undertaking any other duties or strategic projects as assigned by the CRO to support the Bank's objectives.
