Responsibilities & Context:

Job Purpose: This is a contractual role responsible for implementing a donor-funded project under the BRAC Health Programme in industrial urban areas, ensuring the development and execution of effective strategies that support an efficient, well-coordinated continuum of service delivery

Key Responsibilities

  • Management and technical support for project implementation and coordination with different stakeholders, including the Government.
  • Develop plans and implementation strategies to facilitate the service delivery system in the project.
  • Contribute to project development & proposal writing for fundraising.
  • Provide proactive supportive supervision and drive field operations in close collaboration with Divisional Managers, Area Managers & Medical Officers to consistently achieve programme targets.
  • Provide technical support to all projects implemented in urban areas.
  • Develop/ revise project budgets and financial tracking of expenditure.
  • Disseminate project findings, lessons learned and best practices in national and field-level meetings, seminars, conferences and workshops.
  • Coordinate with different departments of BRAC, e.g. M& E Team of BHP, Finance & Accounts, Procurement, HRD, BLD, Programme Support Unit (PSU), Monitoring & Investigation and Audit.
  • Analyze MIS and program data to generate and provide various reports and make decisions for the improvement of the program.
  • Coordinate and liaise with different development partners in the health sector at international, national, local levels.
  • Staff management –hiring, performance appraisal etc.and capacity building.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
