∎ · At least 5 years of related experience in baking factory of a variety of products, three of which should be in a supervisory capacity.
∎ · Proficient with MS Excel, Word and other financial software/systems.
∎ · Willingness to travel to visit dealers / depots in different locations as required.
∎ · Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ · Demonstrated ability to work independently and multitask in high pressure settings.
∎ · Ability & willingness to train & develop finance team of the organization.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Job context:
∎ Under the general direction and guidance of the Chief Operating Officer, Enterprises, the Manager (Operation) will be responsible for all aspects of the baking factory‚ including production, staffing, and sales. He/she will ensure that the factory is running smoothly and efficiently, while also meeting customer (market) demands. The Manager (Operation) will oversee the baking staff and train them in proper baking techniques. He/she will also develop new recipes and product lines to keep the bakery fresh and exciting. He/she should also be able to discard stale or spoiled bakery items and markdown goods nearing their expiration dates. In addition, the Manager (Operation) will be responsible for managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed. Lastly, the manager will monitor financial performance and make decisions to improve profitability.

∎ Job responsibilities:
∎ · Responsible for directing the business with the objective of providing maximum profit and return on invested capital; establishing short and medium-term objectives, plans and policies.
∎ · Develop and establish operating policies consistent with broad policies and objectives & ensuring their adequate execution.
∎ · Maintain positive and trust-based relations with business stakeholders, and authorities.
∎ · Experience in of working with bakery product manufacturing processes, production, and administration.
∎ · Plan, schedule and supervise bakery production, shipping and cleaning activities to highest safety and sanitation standards.
∎ · Place order and arrange for correct ingredients, supplies and equipment using computerized system.
∎ · Experience with and knowledge of methods to improve business processes to increase efficiency and quality of outcomes.
∎ · Be responsible for consolidation of product orders from marketing team /dealers/consumers.
∎ · Assure the proper use and care by staff of highly specialized production equipment.
∎ · Develop, maintain and update recipe files through computerized processes.
∎ · Be responsible for inventorying of stock.
∎ · Assist bakers with production of new products or when schedule falls behind.
∎ · Perform other related duties as assigned.
∎ · Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff.
∎ · Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep the working environment safe and sound.
∎ · Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting productivity.
∎ · Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
∎ · Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations.
∎ · Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing items.· Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.

In consultation with the Managing Director & The COO Enterprises, the Manager (Operation) will determine the best roadmap for execution of the Annual Business Plan of his enterprise. Being leader of STFB, the Manager (Operation) will be responsible for efficient managements of the enterprise in preparing a Business Plan translated into time-bound operational plan for delivering measurable, cost-effective outcomes that make the vision a reality. He/she will also best exercise his/her skills, expertise, sensitivity and personal confidence to tap into the power that each staff member possess and the team retain the innovative spark that drives GUK towards its long-term vision with its Social Enterprises.
