Job Summary:

The Manager – Merchandising (Furniture Export) will be responsible for managing export merchandising activities for furniture products, including buyer communication, costing, product development, sourcing coordination, production follow-up, and shipment execution. The position requires strong knowledge of furniture manufacturing, export documentation, international buyer management, and supply chain coordination to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Handle complete export merchandising operations from inquiry to shipment.

2. Communicate with international buyers regarding product specifications, quotations, samples, orders, production updates, and shipment schedules.

3. Prepare product costing considering raw materials, hardware, accessories, packaging, logistics, and production costs.

4. Coordinate with design, R&D, production, procurement, quality, and commercial departments for smooth order execution.

5. Monitor sample development and ensure buyer approval within the required timeline.

6. Follow up on raw material sourcing including wood, board, metal, fabric, foam, hardware, and packaging materials.

7. Ensure production schedules are maintained to meet shipment deadlines.

8. Work closely with the commercial/export department regarding shipping documents, LC terms, and export compliance.

9. Analyze buyer requirements, market trends, and competitor products for new business opportunities.

10. Maintain strong relationships with existing buyers and develop new customer opportunities.

11. Ensure product quality and compliance with buyer standards and international export requirements.

12. Prepare merchandising reports, order tracking reports, and shipment status updates for management.

13. Lead and supervise merchandising executives and coordinators.

14. Resolve merchandising and buyer-related issues effectively and professionally.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, Wood Engineering, Furniture Design, or related discipline.

• MBA will be considered an added advantage.

Experience Requirement:

• 5–10 years of experience in furniture merchandising and export operations.

• Practical experience in furniture manufacturing and export-oriented industries is highly preferred.

• Experience handling international buyers and export documentation is required.
