Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Law (LLM) in Law, Bachelor of Law (LLB) in Law

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Company Law, Labor Law, Land and Legal, Land Documentation, Land Law

Job Context:
∎ The purpose of this position is to support & lead the operation of the legal issues. S/he will review and draft all legal documents and conduct legal research into the laws applicable to each of the issues. The ideal candidate will provide legal support to different units.
∎ Please apply only who are experienced in Mediation, Arbitration, Documentation, Litigation, Public Relation, Estate Planning & Management and capable of leading the department independently with leadership and sincerity. Minimum 08 years of experience as a Legal & Corporate Affairs Manager preferably in Tea Estate Business. Experience in Corporate Affairs will be an advantage.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ To facilitate functions relevant to Legal issues, land and estates affairs i.e. pursue of cases of and against the company at relevant level, collect, prepare, maintain and update Legal documents, ensure company owned properties and assets are of Legal and physical possession.
∎ To manage all litigation of the Company (filing, defending and monitoring the progress) for the protection of company rights.
∎ To take appropriate actions regarding the issues relating to civil and criminal nature, labour & service matter, intellectual property issues, and all other incidental issues.
∎ To collect, prepare, maintain and update legal documents of ownership, develop and control Legal procedure etc.
∎ To maintain communication to and from courts, lawyers, offices and high-profile parties.
∎ To prepare, update and maintain a database of Legal issues of companies concerns.
∎ To settle the Industrial dispute, Labor court cases, Civil and Criminal court Cases etc.
∎ To maintain proper compliance for Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) as per company guideline in accordance with local laws and rules.
∎ To keep and update proper clearance and licenses from the concern local authorities such as Fire Service and Civil Defense Authority, Department of Environment (DOE) etc.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 44 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The candidate should have Membership Certificate of Bangladesh Bar Council. The candidate must also have the membership enrollment of Bangladesh High court and Judge Court.
∎ Excellent verbal & written (English & Bangla) communication skills.
∎ The candidate should have Managerial experience in legal department of any group of Manufacturing industries/ Tea Estates for at least 03 years.
∎ Ability to work well as part of a multi disciplined team.
∎ Ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management and clients.
∎ Well constructed negotiation skills.
∎ Analytical, methodical and pro-active approach to problem solving.
∎ Ability to identify key issues and present advice and decisions in a precise and understandable manner.

Salary: Negotiable
