∎ Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark).
∎ Experience with data orchestration tools (Apache Airflow) and streaming platforms (Apache Kafka).
∎ Data analytics tools/platform: Python/R, Power BI, Azure Data Lake, Data Studio etc.
∎ Data architecture and cloud data platforms (Azure, GCP).
∎ Real-time data streaming and ETL processes.
∎ Knowledge on Data governance, compliance, and security in healthcare.

∎ Experience Requirements
∎ Minimum 4 years’ experience in data engineering, data integration, or a related technical field. Proven experience in managing large datasets and real-time data systems, preferably in a healthcare or public health context.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines to support real-time reporting and analytics.
∎ Integrate multiple health project data sources into a unified system architecture, ensuring consistency and data integrity.
∎ Optimise existing data infrastructure to reduce reporting lag from 48 hours to real-time or near-real-time insights.
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Health Tech and PHC pilots, to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
∎ Manage data storage solutions using cloud platforms ( GCP, Azure) and ensure efficient database performance (Postgres SQL, Azure Data Lake).
∎ Implement data governance, security, and compliance measures in line with national and international health data standards.
∎ Develop and manage ETL processes and data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow), while exploring lightweight real-time data processing solutions suitable for moderate data volumes.
∎ Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data workflows, ensuring high availability and reliability of data systems.
∎ Document data architecture, processes, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
∎ Support capacity-building initiatives by providing technical guidance and training to team members on new data tools and technologies.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ Job Purpose
∎ This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising data pipelines and infrastructure to support real-time data integration and reporting across BRAC’s health-related initiatives. This role ensures the seamless flow of data from multiple health projects into a unified architecture to enable timely decision-making and improved health outcomes.
