Experience:
MBBS/ BDS or a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology, or a Master’s in Public Health with extensive epidemiology training
Minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical epidemiology or public health research, preferably within humanitarian or healthcare settings.
Proven track record of managing epidemiological research projects, including designing protocols, overseeing data collection, and reporting findings.
Ability to design and implement surveillance and other data collection systems for disease and outbreak monitoring, including mortality and nutritional surveys, and to train others in appropriate data collection and analysis.
Proven practical skills with software for epidemiological database and statistical analysis (Microsoft Excel and at least one statistical program)
Proven practical skills in design / implementation / evaluation of quantitative and qualitative epidemiological research methods.
Excellent public health and epidemiological research background.
Relevant context and field exposure.

The Opportunity
The Manager – Health Impact and Information System will be responsible for leading public health research, epidemiological surveillance, digital health systems strengthening, and service delivery impact monitoring across health and nutrition interventions. The role will also support research and response mechanisms for communicable and noncommunicable diseases, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and maternal and child health outcomes. The position will ensure that programmatic decisions are driven by evidence and that donor reporting and proposal inputs are backed by high-quality data and health systems analysis.
Additionally, the Manager- Health Impact and Information System may support multiple projects, addressing a range of issues such as mortality surveys and tracking disease spread. Responsibilities also include conducting community surveys, preparing project donor reports, and analytical new business development, and helping plan responses to disease outbreaks. Furthermore, He/she is responsible for building the capacity of the Health Information System team to analyse and interpret results to support evidence-based clinical decision-making.
