∎ At least 5 - 7 years of experience in a Managerial role in Fish Hatchery.
∎ Technical expertise in the fields of fish culture technologies, fisheries management or related professional research, aquaculture research, training in Good Aquaculture Practices
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
∎ Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, self-starter, works well in a team independently and adjust to changing priorities, critical and strategic thinker

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Acquire maximum productivity of best quality spawn and fry by implementing standard fish culture technologies and practices.
∎ Monitor the proper management of fish hatching process such as egg incubation, emerging larvae from fertilized eggs, bring out spawn and rearing the fry.
∎ Create essential ambiance for fish rearing by manipulating required water quality, oxygen levels, feed management, etc. to breed healthy spawn and fish products.
∎ Direct trapping, transfer of mature fish to the commercial pond.
∎ Maintain a healthy, disease free and safe environment in incubation tank by ensuring the adherence to the standard of Kazi Farms.
∎ Drive the periodical and emergency maintenance program to ensure smooth operation.
∎ Supervise and train aquaculture and fish hatchery support worker.
∎ Control the operational and production budget to save cost and achieve the revenue target.
∎ Determine, administer, and execute policies relating to administration, standards of hatchery operations and maintenance of facilities.
∎ Job Context: Kazi Farms is expanding its fish hatchery operations to strengthen its presence in the aquaculture industry. As part of this expansion, we are seeking a Manager - Fish Hatchery to lead and oversee hatchery production, ensuring the highest quality spawn and fry of Tilapia, Pangas, Carp, Prawn, and Catfish. This role is essential in maintaining optimal hatching conditions, managing breeding programs, and implementing industry-best practices to maximize productivity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hatchery management and play a key role in achieving operational efficiency, disease prevention, and cost-effective production. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate aquaculture professional to contribute to the growth and success of Kazi Farms' fish hatchery division.
