Educational Requirements:
∎ Post Graduate Degree, preferably degree in Agriculture, Economics, Social Science, Business, Insurance, Statistics in any recognised educational institute
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage and supervise field operations team to implement all sorts of project activities as per project management plan;
∎ Educate and train field staffs for the smooth implementation of project activities (e.g. market assessment, awareness creation campaigns, promotion, distribution, service delivery, etc.) of agriculture insurance among smallholders;
∎ Assist in designing suitable products by conducting assessment of smallholder farmers; develop manuals and training materials for delivery, marketing, administration, and monitoring of agriculture insurance products
∎ Monitor project progress, regularly track performance, perform field visits, and check-in with field staff for further improvement;
∎ Maintain strong coordination with diverse stakeholders (e.g. donors, insurers, regulators, development & financial institutions, technical partners, etc.) and clients;
∎ Ensure service quality through implementation of standards and controls, systems and procedures and regular evaluation.
∎ Prepare progress reports and necessary documents at regular basis;
∎ Other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven track record in development project management/operations management in the field of agriculture, agriculture insurance, agro-industries, and / or value chain management and agri-finance with at least 05 years of experience
∎ Crop Insurance experience is strongly preferred, work experience of serving low income segment of population in Bangladesh would be an added advantage;
∎ Ability to follow project management plan and deliver task orders in a timely manner.
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills (in Bangla and English)
∎ Must be a Bangladeshi national with strong understanding of agricultural sector and prepared to work with smallholders in Bangladesh.
∎ Good understanding on agriculture sector and financial sector including insurance and the role of government and regulators
