Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Coordinate with the merchandising and design teams to select and procure fabric samples from mills, ensuring they align with customer inspiration for new season orders, and provide detailed technical specifications to facilitate timely product submission.
∎ Evaluate fabric performance risks through technical hanger and base hanger testing to establish specific fabric performance standards for bulk production.
∎ Identify and onboard new fabric mills with competitive pricing, conducting thorough audits to ensure quality and compliance, and incorporate them into the factory's mill database.
∎ Follow up on fiber and yarn price in the market and marketing teams are being updated.
∎ Ensure consistent quality control throughout the bulk fabric production process, including lab dips, first bulk, dye lots, test reports, and inspection reports, and obtain customer approval for each stage.
∎ Collaborate with the washing team to optimize fabric performance through wash programs, ensuring fabric approval and timely shipment, while maintaining open communication with the customer for bulk lot approval in garment form.
∎ Organize the Transaction Certificates (GRS, GOTS, BCI, Lenzing) within the customer interactive platform, and ensure that test reports (base, bulk, product tests) are updated regularly in the customer PLM system.
∎ Resolve the matter with the fabric mill to create a mutually beneficial outcome for both the supplier and the vendor.
∎ Negotiate fabric prices with suppliers to align with company and customer requirements, while exploring cost-effective alternatives to meet buyer demands.
∎ Maintain regular communication with all relevant departments to ensure alignment with buyer requirements.
