Prior experience in EHS management, preferably within the renewable energy sector, with specific experience in rooftop solar projects.
Responsibilities & Context:
Creating and updating comprehensive EHS policies and procedures tailored to rooftop solar installations.
Identifying potential hazards associated with rooftop solar projects, assessing risks, and implementing control measures to mitigate those risks.
Ensuring all rooftop solar projects adhere to relevant local and national environmental regulations, health and safety laws, and company policies.
Conducting training sessions for employees and contractors on EHS procedures, safe work practices, and emergency response.
Investigating accidents and near misses, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Overseeing quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that solar panels and other components meet specified standards.
Promoting sustainable practices in rooftop solar projects, such as waste management and efficient energy usage.
Participates in HSSE related discussions at and Site toolbox talk, Client Weekly/Monthly Meetings, Safety Committee Meetings and Staff Meetings.
Develop and implement quality assurance systems, policies, processes and documentation for the lifecycle of solar projects.
Conduct quality assurance inspections and audits at all project sites to identify quality issues and non-conformities.
Ensure that all O&M activities performed at project sites comply with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) requirements and warranties.
