Experience:

• 10 to 12 years

• Bachelor`s degree from a recognized university in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management, Development Studies, Agriculture, or related discipline. A master`s degree will be considered an advantage.

• 10 to 12 years

• Age At least 35 years

• Minimum 10-12 years of professional experience in entrepreneurship development, SME banking, rural finance, enterprise development, livelihoods programming, investment management, agricultural value chains, or related sectors.

• Experience leading teams, managing field operations, and overseeing multi-location program implementation.

• Strong understanding of investment processes, portfolio management, capital deployment, risk assessment, and business growth strategies.

• Experience working with entrepreneurs, MSMEs, producer groups, rural businesses, or value-chain enterprises will be highly preferred.

• Experience developing and managing partnerships across the public, private, and development sectors.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills in both Bangla and English.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Manager, Enterprise Development to lead YY Ventures` venture growth and capital initiatives across Bangladesh. This role will oversee the sourcing, assessment, investment readiness, portfolio management, and growth support of promising businesses, with a particular focus on underserved and emerging markets.

The Manager will play a critical leadership role in building a pipeline of high-potential founders, managing venture portfolios, supporting capital deployment, strengthening portfolio performance, and developing strategic partnerships that contribute to sustainable business growth.

The role requires a strong blend of business development, investment, portfolio management, and team leadership experience. The ideal candidate will bring a commercial mindset, strong field execution capabilities, and a deep understanding of Bangladesh`s entrepreneurship and SME ecosystem.

The Manager will work closely with the Director of Programs and lead field teams to ensure effective implementation, strong portfolio performance, and meaningful economic impact.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and growth of YY Ventures` venture growth and capital programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, budgets, timelines, and performance targets.

• Develop and oversee founder sourcing strategies to identify high-potential businesses through ecosystem partnerships, referrals, field networks, and market engagement activities.

• Lead venture assessment, founder evaluation, due diligence, and selection processes to ensure strong pipeline quality and investment readiness.

• Lead the assessment, recommendation, deployment, and monitoring of growth of capital and equity investments for selected ventures, ensuring alignment with investment criteria and portfolio objectives.

• Oversee venture valuation discussions, investment readiness assessments, investment committee documentation, and post-investment portfolio management processes.

• Manage and monitor venture portfolio performance, including revenue growth, capital utilization, founder engagement, and achievement of business milestones.

• Develop and implement strategies to strengthen portfolio sustainability, capital recovery performance, and overall portfolio health.

• Provide strategic guidance to founders on business growth, market opportunities, operational improvements, financial management, and scaling strategies.

• Design and oversee founder capacity-building initiatives, including workshops, bootcamps, business clinics, mentorship engagements, and networking opportunities.

• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with financial institutions, investors, accelerators, chambers, business associations, service providers, and ecosystem stakeholders.

• Supervise and mentor field team members, ensuring high-quality implementation, coordination, accountability, and performance management.

• Develop systems and processes for venture tracking, investment monitoring, portfolio reporting, and performance management.

• Identify portfolio risks, operational challenges, and market constraints and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

• Coordinate with finance, operations, communications, and leadership teams to ensure effective program delivery and stakeholder engagement.

• Prepare high-quality reports, portfolio analyses, investment updates, management briefs, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

• Represent YY Ventures at ecosystem events, partnership meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.

Important Information

• Time commitment: Full time, paid role for 40 hours per week from Sunday to Thursday

• Location: Field-based role in any of the program locations, including Sherpur, Mawna, Munshiganj, Panchdona, Kushtia, Dhamrai, Chattogram, Cumilla, and Thakurgaon

• Reports to: Director, Programs
