Job Purpose
The Product Manager will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth for assigned product categories (POPs, Puffs, Biscuits and Water) across QIL, QLL, QFL and SB-Water. The role will act as the business owner for the assigned portfolio by developing growth strategies, monitoring business performance, analyzing competition, identifying business issues, recommending corrective actions, and coordinating with all relevant functions to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Performance Management
• Own the overall business performance of assigned product categories.
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales performance against targets.
• Identify performance gaps and prepare corrective action plans.
• Develop sustainable growth strategies to achieve business objectives.
2. Annual Business Planning & Target Setting
• Prepare Annual Business Plans (BP).
• Recommend sales targets by region, channel and product.
• Develop monthly sales forecasts and demand plans.
• Review target achievements and revise action plans where necessary.
3. Pricing & Profitability Management
• Recommend product pricing based on market dynamics.
• Analyze profitability, trade margins and promotional costs.
• Evaluate financial impact before implementing pricing changes.
• Monitor gross margin and contribution by SKU.
4. Market & Competition Analysis
• Continuously monitor competitor pricing, promotions and distribution.
• Analyze market share movements and category trends.
• Conduct regular market visits with the sales team.
• Recommend competitive responses and growth opportunities.
5. Product Portfolio Management
• Monitor SKU-wise performance.
• Identify slow-moving and high-potential SKUs.
• Recommend new product launches, pack changes or discontinuation.
• Optimize product mix for improved profitability.
6. Trade & Consumer Activation
• Design trade promotion programs.
• Evaluate ROI of promotional activities.
• Coordinate with Marketing for campaigns and visibility initiatives.
• Support new product launches and activation programs.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Production, Procurement, Finance and Commercial teams.
• Ensure product availability in line with demand forecasts.
• Resolve business bottlenecks affecting sales growth.
8. Sales Support
• Provide business insights to the sales team.
• Develop sales tools, presentations and product updates.
• Participate in National Sales Meetings and Regional Review Meetings.
• Recommend tactical initiatives to improve sales performance.
9. Business Analytics & Reporting
• Prepare weekly and monthly business review reports.
