Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Environmental Science/ Management/ Climate Change/ Geography/ Civil Engineering or any relevant discipline from any recognised university/ institutions

Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: Capturing and sharing knowledge on climate resilience and development, disseminating information about major progress on resilience initiative and results of the Programme; develop climate resilience innovative ideas and dissemination of organisational CCA related activities; contribute to fund raising efforts; and support "Mainstreaming Climate Change at BRAC".
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare and update the climate change indicator report for BRAC
∎ Contribute in the climate resilience strategic planning and design
∎ Prepare climate change resilience framework for BRAC and BRAC enterprise
∎ Explore climate change resilience funding sources on innovative ideas
∎ Create climate resilience collaborative tools to facilitate sharing of ideas that are of use to colleagues and other programmes
∎ Design and organise workshop for youth on creative ideas of climate resilient initiative in the rural and urban context
∎ Disseminate BRAC climate resilient best practices through workshop, seminar, conference, print media etc.
∎ Prepare field-based report for climate change programme activities which listed in AOP
∎ Explore options and contribute in the designing and planning of implementing actions to promote climate resilient solutions under the programme
∎ Coordinate and organise technical events, meetings, dialogues in the regional and national level
∎ Provide news content for newsletter which circulate in the BRAC system
∎ Help in updating and developing strategies and policies to optimise adaptation and mitigation actions in BRAC
∎ Help writing proposals to secure funding and periodic reporting on admit work

Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge on climate change issues
∎ Knowledge on the environment, climate change, disaster management, CCA, mitigation, and resilience
∎ Knowledge on policy analysis and donor coordination
∎ Fluent in English and proficient writing in English
∎ Have planning and coordinating skills
∎ Have skills on planning and organising events
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication and people management skills
∎ Capability to strategies, coordinate and lead to accomplishment
∎ Networking and developing professional relationships and goodwill
∎ Excellent analytical thinking and decision-making skills
∎ Minimum 05 years of work experience is required
