Educational Requirements:
∎ Master’s Degree, preferably in Social Sciences/Agriculture Extension/Fisheries/ Business Studies, Development Studies, or any other relevant discipline.
∎ At least 6 years’ experience of which 3 years in management position within the area of program coordination, government relations, organizational capacity development and training, partnership management preferably in international organization.

Job Context:
∎ Suchana- ending the cycle of malnutrition in Bangladesh, is a multi-sectoral nutrition programme aims to achieve significant reduction in stunting amongst children under two years of age in Bangladesh. The programme adopts an integrated graduation model to nutrition specific and nutrition sensitive interventions to prevent chronic malnutrition within the critical 1,000 days from conception to until a child reaches its second birthday. Suchana consortium includes: technical partners – Save the Children (SC), Hellen Keller International (HKI), WorldFish, International Development Enterprises (iDE); implementing partners – Centre for Natural Resources Studies (CNRS), Friends in Village Development in Bangladesh (FIVDB), Rangpur Dinajpur Rural Service (RDRS); and research partner – icddr,b.
∎ Part I: Job Statement
∎ Under the guidance and coordination of Deputy Programme Director- Suchana, the position Manager – Advocacy of Suchana Programme in Sunamganj district will support Suchana program management in his/her capacity in the areas of coordination and collaboration to replicate best practices of Suchana which include strategic planning, meeting, liaison, collaboration and consultation with relevant GOB departments at district- and upazila-level. S/he will work in close coordination with the technical partners and program leads to in support of implementing their replication plans and relevant activities. This position will ensure quality services to internal and external stakeholders in line with the Suchana Program’s SOP and other Policies and Procedures.
∎ Reports : Implementing Partner- Project Coordinator – for organizational administration and management; and Deputy Programme Director, Suchana - for program operation
∎ Type : Contractual
∎ Location : Sunamganj with at least 50% field visit and 20% liaison with Sylhet based Suchana Consortium members.
∎ Key Contacts : Concern IP’s management, Senior Technical Advisor–Nutrition, Senior Manager–Livelihoods, Senior Manager–CR & CB, Senior- Manager–Consortium, Technical Lead of HKI, WF & iDE, district and upazila level GoB line ministries (MoHFW, MoA, MoFL, MoF, MoDR, MoSW, MoWCA, MoLGRDC and others as applied), local government administration, other concerned international /national NGOs and other stakeholders as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Part II: Job Responsibilities and Tasks
∎ A. Advocacy, leadership and strategic guidance to district level planning, management, coordination and implementation of Suchana replication intervention- 45%
∎ Support the technical and program leads in providing strategic direction and advocacy of collaboration with different line departments of government stakeholders including administration at Sunamganj
∎ Take lead in ensuring the Suchana replication of program implementation under Sunamganj district in the Sylhet division as per the plans & guidelines
∎ Work as communication Hub in between Suchana management and relevant public-private stakeholder at district and upazila level under Sunamganj district
∎ Provide support technical and program leads to building effective liaison and collaboration among government line departments
∎ Coordinate with technical and program leads of Suchana consortium partners on planning and execution of GOB collaboration
∎ Provide support/organize consultative workshop, meeting, and any other event in line with Suchana replication intervention implementation
∎ Conduct regular field visit to upazila, union and community level as per need to understand the status of Suchana replication intervention implementation as well as provide support to GoB and relevant stakeholders in implantation.
∎ B. Coordination (Internal & External) - 40%
∎ Establish effective networks with district and upazila level government departments, NGOs and other like-minded development organizations, and facilitate/re-activate existing coordination platforms to ensure effective delivery of programme interventions in a coordinated and coherent manner
∎ Attend district level coordination meeting organize by different technical line department and lead the discussion on Suchana replication issues as and when required
∎ Represent Suchana team in monthly/quarterly NGO coordination meetings organized by govt stakeholders as and when required
∎ Participate Suchana Regional Team meeting and relevant other meeting/discussion as required
∎ Contribute to programme level discussions on strategies, technical interventions and approaches based on practical situation and field experiences
∎ Proactively identify the opportunities for cross learning sharing experiences among the geographical areas.
∎ C. Reporting: 15%
∎ Support in documentation and reporting requirements for donor compliance
∎ Prepare report of field implementation as and when required.
∎ D. General
∎ Ready to work in any natural disaster or emergency situation anywhere in Bangladesh
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor from time to time

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 55 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Skills:
∎ Skill in programme planning, coordination, and project representation. Good in report writing, appropriate computer proficiency in MS Office, good analytical skill, strategic and innovative approach, highly versatile, ability to work well under pressure and to deal with a variety of issues at the same time. Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skill.
∎ Knowledge:
∎ Sound knowledge on Bangladesh political, environmental, and social context, nutrition and livelihood situation and challenges especially in his/her district and upazilas. Technical knowledge on nutrition, food security, agriculture and other livelihood components is desired.
∎ Attitudes:
∎ Works well with teams
∎ Conscious of child protection issues
∎ Non-discriminatory and gender sensitive
∎ Willingness to work in remote, rural locations.

Salary: Tk. 60000 - 70000 (Monthly)
