 2–5 years of relevant experience in utility operation, electrical maintenance,

electrical safety, compliance, and CAP follow-up.

 Experience in a manufacturing, tannery, or industrial environment will be preferred.

Key Skills & Competencies

 Good knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance and electrical safety.

 Practical knowledge of utility systems and industrial equipment.

 Knowledge of boiler, steam, hot water, pumps, compressors, water systems, and

other industrial utilities will be an advantage.

 Good understanding of earthing, electrical protection, DB/panel inspection,

MCCs, cables, motors, and electrical installations.

 Understanding of NIRAPON electrical safety requirements and audit/CAP

processes.

 Ability to prepare inspection reports, CAPs, maintenance records, and technical

documentation.

 Good knowledge of Preventive Maintenance (PM) systems.

 Good follow-up, coordination, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

 Good communication and teamwork skills.

 Basic computer skills, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Purpose

The Maintenance Officer – Utility and Electrical Safety will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation, inspection, monitoring, preventive/corrective maintenance, and documentation of utility systems, while ensuring electrical safety compliance and timely closure of safety-related CAPs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Utility Operation & Maintenance

 Monitor the operation and condition of major utility systems and equipment.

 Support operation and maintenance of boiler, steam system, hot water system, pumps, compressors, water systems, ETP-related utilities, and other utility equipment.

 Conduct regular inspections of utility equipment and identify abnormalities, defects, and maintenance requirements.

 Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for utility equipment.

 Maintain daily operating logs, utility consumption records, maintenance records, and equipment history.

 Monitor utility performance, operating parameters, and abnormal consumption.

 Coordinate with operators and maintenance technicians to ensure reliable utility operation.

 Immediately report critical utility failures, unsafe conditions, or abnormal operating conditions to the Maintenance Manager.

2. Electrical Safety Reporting

 Conduct regular electrical safety inspections according to NIRAPON requirements and applicable standards.

 Prepare, update, and maintain NIRAPON 90-Day Electrical Safety Reports.

 Inspect electrical panels, DBs, MCCs, cables, earthing systems, protection devices, electrical installations, and related equipment.

 Identify electrical safety gaps, risks, and non-conformities.

 Coordinate corrective actions with responsible teams.

 Follow up on findings to ensure timely implementation and closure.

3. CAP Management & Closure

 Prepare and update Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) based on inspection, audit, and safety findings.

 Coordinate with responsible departments and teams for timely CAP implementation.

 Maintain an updated CAP tracker and regularly follow up on pending and overdue actions.

 Collect photographs, test reports, work records, invoices, certificates, and other required evidence for CAP closure.

 Verify completed corrective actions before submitting closure evidence.

 Ensure electrical and utility-related CAPs are properly documented and closed within the required timeline.

4. Electrical Safety & Maintenance

 Conduct routine inspections of: Electrical panels and DBs, MCCs and control panels, Cables and cable trays, Earthing and bonding systems, Circuit breakers and protection devices, Motors and electrical installations, Emergency electrical systems

 Support preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.

 Ensure identified electrical defects and safety issues are corrected within the required timeline.

 Ensure maintenance work follows applicable standards, company requirements, approved procedures, and good engineering practices.

 Maintain electrical inspection and maintenance records.

 Ensure daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance activities are completed as scheduled.

 Record completed maintenance activities and identify pending maintenance requirements.

 Coordinate with the Maintenance In-Charge/technicians for execution of maintenance activities.

 Identify required spare parts, tools, and materials and follow up with local procurement for availability.

 Maintain proper equipment history and maintenance records.

5. Compliance & Documentation

 Maintain electrical and utility inspection checklists, reports, photographs, test records, maintenance records, and CAP evidence.

 Ensure required documents are properly updated and readily available for internal, customer, NIRAPON, and third-party audits.

 Support preparation of technical documents and reports related to electrical safety and utilities.

 Maintain accurate records of utility performance, equipment condition, maintenance activities, and corrective actions.

6. Coordination & Follow-up

 Coordinate with Maintenance, Production, EHS, Utility Operators, Procurement, and other relevant departments.

 Follow up with responsible persons to ensure timely completion of assigned maintenance and corrective actions.

 Coordinate with external service providers and contractors when required.

 Support the Maintenance Manager in utility reliability, electrical safety, compliance, and improvement initiatives.

 Immediately escalate critical safety, equipment, or utility issues to the Maintenance Manager.
