Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor quality control activities for steel fabrication and construction works.

• Inspect raw materials, steel structures, fabrication, welding, cutting, and assembly processes.

• Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Check dimensions, alignment, fit-up, weld quality, and structural accuracy.

• Coordinate with QC inspectors, welders, fabricators, and production teams.

• Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are completed properly.

• Review inspection reports, checklists, and quality documentation.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors when required.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures.

• Monitor the overall quality of steel fabrication and ensure timely completion of inspection activities.

Specifications:

• Oversee the sampling, testing, and inspection of incoming raw materials and finished rebars.

• Supervise laboratory testing, including tensile strength testing, chemical composition analysis, and bending tests.

• Identify and isolate defective batches or off-specification steel products immediately.

• Ensure testing equipment is regularly calibrated and complies with ISO 9001 standards.

• Review metallurgical test certificates and approve or reject materials for export dispatch.

Relevant Skills Required:

Knowledge of destructive/non-destructive testing (NDT), steel metallurgy, ISO quality management standards, and statistical process control (SPC).
