Responsibilities & Context:

Service Operations & Team Management

• Manage and supervise technicians and service teams to ensure efficient execution of elevator and escalator maintenance, troubleshooting, and service activities. Coordinate daily operations, assign tasks, and monitor service delivery to ensure timely and professional support to clients.

• Prepare and coordinate service schedules in consultation with clients and ensure prompt response to service calls by dispatching technicians to project sites. Follow up on service activities until issues are fully resolved and report progress to the relevant departments.

• Monitor team attendance records and maintain accurate reports to ensure operational accountability.

Technical Maintenance & Field Support

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of lifts and escalators to ensure safe and optimal operation. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical faults and carry out necessary repairs or component replacements.

• Provide technical support for elevator maintenance activities and commissioning of newly installed elevators. Conduct field visits when required to address major technical issues and ensure timely resolution.

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or emergency situations and implement corrective actions to restore functionality with minimal disruption.

Client Relationship & After-Sales Service

• Maintain regular communication with clients and internal departments to ensure smooth service coordination. Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing reliable after-sales support, technical assistance, and spare parts solutions.

• Communicate with existing and potential customers regarding Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) opportunities and service offerings. Prepare AMC proposals, negotiate contract terms, and work toward achieving assigned AMC acquisition targets.

Commercial & Billing Activities

• Prepare spare parts quotations and negotiate pricing with clients when required. Generate service project bills and spare parts invoices, and coordinate with clients regarding payment processing and follow-up of outstanding dues.

• Prepare and maintain monthly AMC offer reports and other relevant commercial documentation.

Inventory, Procurement & Vendor Coordination

• Manage spare parts inventory and maintain proper stock control to ensure service readiness. Prepare purchase requisitions and store requisitions for service materials and spare parts to maintain adequate inventory levels.

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable spare parts vendors, and arrange parts procurement when required to support uninterrupted service delivery.

Compliance, Safety & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards during all maintenance and operational activities. Promote and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.

• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspection reports, service records, and equipment history using appropriate maintenance management systems.

Special Assignments & Operational Support

• Coordinate and manage Metro team activities, including attendance reporting, operational support, and compliance monitoring.

• Support special assignments such as VIP duties, including preparation, inspection checks, and submission of technical test reports for existing lifts.

• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in elevator maintenance to continuously improve service quality and operational efficiency.
