Job Context:
∎ Position Title : Logistics Officer
∎ Duty station/Location : Ukhiya and Cox`s Bazar Regional Office, CXB, Bangladesh.
∎ Start date : 1st Feb 2023.
∎ Reports to: Project Manager- AGRAJATTRA GAC/BRAC Pooled Fund Project.
∎ Contract duration: Total project duration - 24 Months but initially Up to 31st Dec 2023 after successful completed provision period of 1st 03 Months, full-time position (with possibility of contract extension)
∎ Deadline for Applications : 31st Jan 2023.
∎ About you : To be successful in this role we expect you to be flexible and proactive in engaging with existing and potential programming in a changing operational context.
∎ Operational/Context Role : AGRAJATTRA is looking for an experience, competent and dedicated Admin & HR Officer for the project titled "Reduce the morbidity of water borne diseases and negative environmental impact related to using open and unimproved latrine by the disadvantaged Rohingya Refugees population through universal and equitable access to WASH services".
∎ The project wants to address the following the challenges under the project :
∎ (i) Pure safe-water crisis both Rohingya Camp: To supply of pure safe water for drinking and cooking purpose through renovation/decommission of inactive Water facilities in Rohingya Camp.
∎ (ii) Challenges of using improve/sanitary latrine by the Rohingya Community : To improve use of sanitary latrine in Rohingya Community.
∎ (iii) Challenges of the environmental situation for liquid and solid waste management in Rohingya camps : To improve the environmental situation through the systematic liquid and solid waste management.
∎ The Project is funded by Global Affairs Canada - GAC Pooled Fund and technically supported by BRAC.
∎ About More than a million Rohingya have fled due to the ethnic cleansing in Myanmar and sought refuge in Bangladesh. The refugees are in temporary settlements on hilly areas of Cox`s Bazar with inadequate water and sanitation facilities, giving rise to diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea. They are exposed to significant public health risks due to overcrowded living conditions and poor water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices and waste Hazzard at the camps, especially at the Kutupalong expansion sites. They are continuing to live in very fragile conditions. The Rohingya refugee camps are already overcrowded. There are problems with the quality and highly uneven distribution of water, with many people walking long distances through densely inhabited camps to the water sources.
∎ Improper sanitation and waste management is the number one cause for ill health, disease, and death throughout the world, particularly under extremely dense living conditions in the Rohingya refugee camps. Garbage littering and open defecation are widely practiced. Congested drainage systems contribute to flooding, bringing waste and contaminants into people`s homes. Improvements can be made by involving camp inhabitants in decision-making processes and giving them greater ownership in everyday infrastructure maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Development of the procurement & rental related documents,
∎ Review the purchase requisition (PR) with necessary budget provision and approval.

∎ Prepare Purchase Proposal (PP), Comparative Statement (CS) and Purchase Order (PO)/WO for Procurement and take necessary approval from the authority.
∎ Ensure that the quality of procured goods is okay as per PO and then prepare MRR.
∎ Ensure Deliver challan and Store Issue Note are used for receiving & issuing of goods.
∎ Manage and coordinate procurement as per guidelines and procedures of Agrajattra and of other donor compliance.
∎ Involve in procuring goods and services through direct, quotation, or tender process and also framework agreement with vendors as required.
∎ Coordinate logistics support to ongoing operations,
∎ Checking the documentation for quality/errors and correcting them before submitting,
∎ Take care of the logistics aspects connected to external visits and organization of workshops.
∎ Prepare Purchase Proposal (PP), Comparative Statement (CS) and Purchase Order (PO)/WO for Procurement and take necessary approval from the authority.
∎ Prepare/Compile the inventory materials list as per project requirement.
∎ Ensure the purchase of logistics items as per procurement plan and budget with management approval.
∎ Lead the purchase process of the goods, Therapy equipment, Assistive Devices and services.
∎ Negotiate the pricing, terms and conditions in a critical manner
∎ Manage all contracts including supply, transport and rental contracts
∎ Make sure the deliveries are processed in an adequate and timely manner,
∎ Ensure the supply of stationery and logistics for the operations,
∎ Maintain quality throughout the logistic processes
∎ Maintain the store and registers
∎ Provide in-time logistics support to the Office/field staff/training and other events as and when required.
∎ Perform additional work according to the project's need and as being assigned by the Agrajattra authority.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 27 to 40 years
∎ Minimum 4 years relevant experience in financial management.
∎ Good knowledge on reporting & documentation
∎ Good knowledge on logistics, warehousing, transportation and other supply chain issues
∎ Good knowledge on MS office applications
∎ Good communication and interpersonal skills
∎ Reporting and Documentation.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving.
∎ Ability to work under highly stressful conditions.
∎ Sound understanding and compliance of safety and security issues relating to development and humanitarian work.
∎ Good knowledge of English
∎ Able to work under pressure and willing to frequent travel to Field area in the Project Area.
∎ Good writing and speaking skills in English and Bangla.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 44200 - 44291 (Monthly)
