Additional Requirements:
∎ Essential technical diploma or University degree in Water, in his /her area of speciality, preferably as an engineer.
∎ Essential at least two years of working experience in water and sanitation related activities, preferably in water treatment.
∎ Having experience in reverse osmosis water treatment will be an added value.
∎ Experience in project management, preferably in technical feasibility studies.
∎ Desirable previous experience with MSF or other NGOs, and working experience in developing countries.
∎ English language essential. Local/Chittagonian language desirable.
∎ Computer literacy on office programs.
∎ Experience in any technical design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, WaterCad, EPANET, GIS.
∎ Education

Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Defining procedures and ensures the implementation, monitoring, maintenance and correct functioning of the technical work within his/her area of specialization.
∎ Managing the technical activities in support to and in close collaboration with the field responsible of the sector of activity (s)he is primarily in support.
∎ Carrying out assessment and feasibility studies in the project to provide line managers with alternatives and possible solutions to infrastructure challenges in the area of specialization e.g. installing / building / implementing. Liaising directly with the staff to identify the project needs and managing response and prioritization of requests.
∎ Where standard protocols are not available or appropriate, developing a protocol seeking extensive feedback and pilot tests to ensure its functioning as well as defining functioning standards and monitoring systems.
∎ Ensuring the proper documentation, filing and the compilation of the installation and maintenance done or required
∎ Acting as a technical referent, providing technical advice and oversight of quality and strengthening knowledge of the team. Providing training sessions to technicians,  the managers and supervisors in the overall set-up, use and maintenance of new installations.
∎ When required, acting as Flying expert in a mission and providing deep technical advice to managers
∎ Performing delegated tasks specific to her area of speciality and as defined in his/her job description
∎ Design, conduct, and lead a feasibility study for a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant or alternative water treatment methods in Teknaf or other locations.
∎ Collect, manage, process, and analyze data and information in scope of the project.
∎ Analyze water quality, availability, storage, and treatment options, providing data-backed recommendations for sustainable solutions.
∎ Coordinate with local stakeholders, including communities, authorities, and partners, to gather input and ensure alignment with local needs, requirements, and legislation.
∎ Facilitate meetings and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
∎ Identify and assess potential sites for water treatment infrastructure, conducting surveys and ensuring suitability based on technical and environmental criteria.
∎ Lead the planning, design, and construction of water treatment infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
∎ Supervise contractors and manage project timelines to ensure successful delivery.
∎ Contribute to capacity-building efforts through training and knowledge-sharing.
∎ Prepare progress reports and ensure thorough documentation of all project phases, including feasibility studies, planning, and implementation.
∎ Report challenges to line management as they arise.
∎ Preparation of weekly and monthly activity reports.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Contract and Benefit
∎ This is a Permanent contract position. Salary according to level Level Eight (Level 8) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 95,000 Gross). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.
∎ Others
∎ There is no provisions for relocation. 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted continuous service.
