• Planning and organizing all nursing related activities (IPD, OPD, ER, nutrition, etc.) and participating in the definition of annual planning and update of its associated budget in order to efficiently maintain the continuity of the standard quality healthcare. When needed, being responsible for scheduling duty rosters, shifts and on call of nursing staff.
• Coordinating and supervising the implementation of the legal therapeutic protocols, procedures and standards, depending on project objectives (PPTCT, PEP, VCT, IEC, SGBV, MH services, etc.) and providing technical support when needed, to ensure the quality of the nursing care, confidentiality and information traceability, patient surveillance, and the application of the therapeutic and sterilization rules by the health care personnel.
• Supervising the nutritional activities in order to ensure that therapeutic food is provided regularly and that it complies with quality and quantity standards.
• Ensuring all administrative procedures and documents (individual patient’s card and registration book, discharge paper, transfer paper, etc.) and existing data management tools are used correctly.
• According to MSF protocols and in collaboration with the Pharmacist and Medco, supervising the distribution (according to medical prescriptions) and pharmacy activity, preparing new orders when required, supervising expiration terms and consumption patterns, in order to ensure that pharmacy stock levels are permanently updated and above minimum safety point. In coordination with the project biomedical service supervising the appropriate use of medical devices and anticipating and communicating future need.
• In close coordination with the Lab Manager, supervising laboratory outputs related to nursing activities (blood test) to ensure samples are collected correctly and results are provided on time.
• In close coordination with the HR department, planning and supervising the associated processes
(recruitment, training, evaluation, development and communication) of the nursing staff of the project in order to improve staff capabilities and ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required. Training nursing staff on PTE.
• Reporting to the line manager on any relevant information linked to nursing activities and participating in monthly reports.

Special focus of this position at Kutupalong Hospital:
• Supervise, mentor, and support the Nurse Supervisors to ensure effective implementation of nursing care and team collaboration.
• Monitor the quality of patient care to ensure it meets MSF standards and organizational protocols.
• Ensure proper implementation of nursing procedures and policies.
• Involve in implementation of MSF IPC standard, collaborate actively with IPC team, prepare improvement plan for the departments and implement a follow us system.
• Conduct regular audits of nursing practices to maintain high standards. Ensure the nursing quality indicators are done by the supervisor, perform appropriate analysis, share the positive outcome and making a concrete improvement plan based on RCA. ·
• Address and resolve patient complaints or concerns related to nursing care.
• Identify learning and development needs and organize professional development programs for his/her supervisees and support the team members in identifying learning and development needs, support team for appropriate training planning, budgeting, organizing materials and ensuring the application of learning.
• Promote adherence to ethical practices and continuous learning.
• Ensure the availability of necessary medical supplies, equipment, and resources for nursing activities.
• Monitor the usage of resources and prevent wastage.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Planning, implement, evaluation of HP activities, maintain collaboration with BKL outreach team.
• In collaboration with humanitarian affairs officers’ team, support in the analysis of context, humanitarian situation in order to improve the humanitarian and human rights situation among population.
• Conduct regular team meetings to address challenges, share updates, and provide feedback.
• Promote a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
• Prepare and submit reports to hospital management regarding nursing activities.
• Ensure proper documentation of incidents, complaints, and resolutions. Actively participate Patient safety and culture by reporting medical incidence report with identifying appropriate root cause analysis and improvement plan.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve nursing services and patient outcomes.
• Participate in policy-making and decision-making processes related to healthcare delivery.
• Active involvement in the data analysis, Monthly medical report to highlight for the essential support required from the hospital management team.
• As part of this position, the individual will actively participate in the weekend and night duty roster, supporting supervision of hospital activities in case of operational need.
• Coordinate with HR team for roster management, annual leave planning, unpaid applications, adjust the necessary changes if required followed by the updated policies. ·
• Plan & finalize the monthly hospital print request along with the required guidelines that are necessarily followed by the departmental need. ·
• Support IST nurse recruitment. Collaborate with HR for recruiting the team member.
