Experience:
Master’s in any discipline, preferable for degree in disaster management, development studies, social science, or related field.
• Experience in coordinating work, advocacy, and negotiation at the local level.
• Experience working with local decision-makers and knowledge of service systems that support persons with disabilities and their families.
• Ability to prepare clear and simple written and visual communication materials.
• Ability to communicate well, both in writing and speaking, with community members, service providers, advocates, the public, and local officials.
• Experience in Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), and Humanitarian Response.
• Understanding of Anticipatory Action, Bangladesh Disaster Management Framework, NPDM, SoD, and the Disability Act 2013.
• Experience working with disaster management committees.
• Experience in online data collection and communication with stakeholders, including donors.
• Experience in climate- and disaster-resilient livelihood programs.
• Able to analyze and combine information from different sources.
• Knowledge of working with Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and local government.
• Knowledge of public communication and information-sharing methods.
• Able to work with different communities and cultures, with respect for cultural awareness.
• Good interpersonal skills and confidence in working with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
• Strong skills in analysis, presentation, and writing in both Bangla and English.

*** Job Responsibilities:
• Plan and carry out data collection, data entry, and validation to monitor the project effectively.
• Update MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) reports every month, following project goals and donor requirements.
• Support CDD management in ensuring accountability to vulnerable communities, donors, and the Government of Bangladesh.
• Visit field locations at least three days a week to monitor project activities, check quality, and collect feedback from participants and stakeholders.
• Use MEAL tools in the project and train project teams on how to use them.
• Prepare timely and good-quality field and event reports in both Bangla and English, in close coordination with the project field team, and prepare donor reports using evidence and analysis.
• Work with the Monitoring & Documentation Officer to ensure the Inclusive Complaint, Feedback and Response Mechanism (iCFRM) is running effectively.
• Document lessons learned for use within the organization and for external reporting.
• Provide technical and need-based support to project teams to improve planning, implementation, accountability, and learning.
• Guide the field team to keep proper documentation and manage databases for tracking progress and reporting.
• Monitor and mentor SHGs, Flood Volunteer Groups, and/or the Anticipatory Task Force in carrying out their plans.
• Lead communication at local levels, including district, sub-district, and union levels.
• Represent CDD and the project in meetings with government and non-government organizations and maintain good relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Implement the MEAL system properly and ensure accountability reporting at the project level.
• Work closely with project teams to document good practices, capture lessons learned, design and conduct surveys, and prepare reports.
• Collect reports from all team visits, check their quality and compliance, and work with the Project Manager to include recommendations in the MEAL system.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
• Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
• Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
• Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by project and CDD management.

CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

CDD is accepting application for the position of ‘Location Coordinator’ under a project named ‘Anticipate, Include, Act: Strengthening Community Resilience in Kurigram’ to be implemented with the support of CBM International. The duration of the project is till 30th June 2027. The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed on an annual basis.
