∎ Job Summary:
∎ Prottyashi, A social development organization has been responding the Rohingya Crisis in Cox`s Bazar since the crisis started and currently is implementing project in the Host community of Cox`s Bazar with the funding of International Organization of Migration (IOM). Prottyashi invites applications for the vacant position titled- Livestock Specialist for the "Vulnerability Reduction of The Crisis Affected People through Humanitarian Assistance in Cox`s Bazar"
∎ Reporting:
∎ Livestock Specialist will report to Project coordinator. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization`s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Give instructions and supervise the beneficiaries, through coordinating with the Upazila Livestock Officer on rearing, feeding, vaccination, artificial insemination and hygiene management required to promote the health of livestock
∎ Monitoring the health of livestock and gradually train up the beneficiaries on how to look after livestock
∎ Ensure proper nutritional value by using available feed products
∎ Visit the farm to assess the living condition of livestock and make necessary recommendations for improved health
∎ Ensure nutrition during the pregnancy period, safe delivery and proper nutrition for lactating heifer/calf
∎ Examine livestock to detect and determine the nature of diseases or injuries
∎ Execute quarantine processes to prevent spread of disease among the livestock
∎ Diagnosing illnesses and determining the best treatment for various diseases in dairy farm
∎ Prescribing and administering medications to livestock
∎ Educate the beneficiaries about diseases that can transmit from animals to human
∎ Follow up with the beneficiaries on the livestock fattening and inspect the cleanliness of their livestock shelters
∎ Have to manage the livestock shelter and properly maintain the storage facility
∎ Motivate and provide need base veterinary services to the selected beneficiaries
∎ Strong capacity to solve problems and anti-pressure ability
∎ Prepare necessary documentation during the implementation of the activities

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 02 years of professional experience in national or international organizations in protection project.
∎ Technical Skills:
∎ Must have professional writing and speaking capacity in English and Bangla, i.e. field visit report, event report, case study/story, content writing, etc.
∎ Proficient with MS office suite
∎ Able to take decision in a timely manner, priorities and multi-task work seamlessly

Salary:
∎ Monthly gross Salary will be 85,000BDT.
