Experience:

• At least 2 years

• Age At least 27 years

• Certification course in Handicrafts, Textile Design, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in training, preferably in any of the mentioned Trade

• Experience working with marginalized communities, particularly Rohingya refugees.

• Strong instructional and communication skills.

• Ability to design and adapt training materials for different skill levels.

• Fluency in Bengali; knowledge of Rohingya or Chittagonian dialects is an advantage.

• Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Chittagong Dialect.

• Have a good understanding of the local context / humanitarian response.

Job Summary

PROTTYASHI, A social development organization has been working for the development of the disadvantaged population of the country since its establishment and currently has been implementing a project on Skill Development and Vocational training in partnership with IOM. PROTTYASHI invites applications for the vacant position titled- Trainer (Hand stitching/Crochet/Sewing/Karchupi techniques) for “Strengthening Disaster Resilience and the Improvement of the Living Conditions for the Displaced Persons from Myanmar Project”.

Purpose of the Position

The Trainer will be responsible for training to the selected Rohingya beneficiaries in any of Handstiching/Crochet/Sewing/Karchupi techniques. The trainer will develop session plans, assessment and monitoring mechanisms in a given module to ensure effective skill transfer.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct practical, hands-on training sessions to enhance participant skills.

• Assess trainee progress through regular evaluations and provide necessary feedback.

• Identify and distribute essential training materials and resources.

• Guide trainees in producing high-quality craft items livelihood development.

• Maintain comprehensive training records, including attendance, assessment results, and progress reports.

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all participants.

• Collaborate with the Training Center Manager to enhance training methodologies and address challenges.

• Participate in periodic meetings and submit reports on training outcomes and challenges.

• Salary and benefits: Monthly Gross Salary will be 25,000-35,000 BDT regular traveling and communication bill.
