Job Context:
∎ Resource Integration Centre (RIC), a national level development organization, invites applications from qualified candidates to fill up for the following positions for its Enhancing Food Security and Nutrition (EFSN) Project implementing in Ukhiya Upazila under Cox`s Bazar district with the technical and financial support by World Food Programme (WFP)
∎ The Livestock Officer will be responsible for providing technical support/advice to project on livestock management, Vaccine administration and Feed for livestock support implementation including linking and network with livestock groups to input and output markets.
∎ Job Location: Ukhiya upazila, Cox`s Bazar district
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct community mobilization and sensitization for livelihoods vaccination of EFSN beneficiaries at community level;
∎ To mobilize the vaccinators team to work in the community level;
∎ Identifies and capacitates to vaccinator team at beneficiaries level;
∎ Provide technical support and supervision to staff including capacity building trainings, coaching, mentoring and monitoring on vaccination, livestock diseases and feed and fodder;
∎ Maintain coordination and linkages with various stakeholders at community, union parishadupazila and district level;
∎ Regular monitoring through home visit at beneficiaries levelon livestock vaccination, livestock feed and proper treatment;
∎ Facilitating orientation / trainings on livestock, farmers group, sales/business, value chain development, feed formulation;
∎ Assists in identification of opportunities to link farmers with lucrative markets;
∎ Monitors and documents performance of farmer groups on feed for livestock support and vaccine administration;
∎ Coordinate with other project consortium partners on livestock related interventions;
∎ Writing report to concern authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years of proven and livestock management and livestock extension services in development sector or related area.
∎ Experience, skills and knowledge in NGO development, animal health, Vaccine management and Administration, Feed formulation ;
∎ Motor biker driving must.
∎ Computer skills with Microsoft Excel
Salary: Tk. 60000 (Monthly)
