Job Summary

• PROTTYASHI, A social development organization has been responding the Rohingya Crisis in Cox`s Bazar since the crisis started and currently is going to implement UK Resilience and Adaptation Fund (RAF) in the Rohingya and host community of Cox’s Bazar with the technical support of Handicap International. ROTTYASHI invites applications for the vacant position titled- Livelihood Officer for the RAF Project to start from 1st October, 2025.

Reporting

• Livelihood Officer will report to Project Manager. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization’s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and selecting persons with disabilities in refugee and host communities following the beneficiary selection criteria.

• Conduct baseline survey in the targeted Rohingya and host communities to identify beneficiaries as per the project objectives and outcomes.

• Create profile of the beneficiaries including their present situation and expected situation.

• Create batches of the persons with disabilities for the arrangement of the non-formal skill training in the targeted camps and host community unions.

• Mobilize the project beneficiaries to engage with skill development and cash for work interventions through active participation.

• Organize selected Rohingya and host community beneficiaries for timely participation in the vocational skill training sessions.

• Support distribution of the input supports to the graduated beneficiaries on self-employment generation.

• Support the beneficiaries to develop self-employment initiative with the input supports provided and manufacturing of the products at the host and camp level.

• Supervise business initiatives of the project beneficiaries through regular visits to the beneficiaries’ households and providing necessary guidance.

• Facilitate market linkage for the livelihood activities of the persons with disabilities.
