Job Context:
∎ FH Association (a Christian, relief & development organization) wants to fill one (1) Livelihood Manager (LM) position and therefore, inviting applications from eligible candidates. The Livelihood Manager leads the development and effective implementation of sustainable food security and livelihood programs and strategies to impact the lives of the most vulnerable people including children in the community. The position holder will support the organization`s growth in the livelihood sector while directly managing and supporting staff working to implement FH Bangladesh`s Livelihood portfolio.
∎ Report to : Senior Program Quality Manager
∎ Location : Dhaka, Bangladesh
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the design, development and implementation of Livelihood programs and strategies based on the capacity, needs and priorities of the communities;
∎ Provides guidance and support to field staff and ensures the Livelihood programs are implemented, monitored and evaluated in accordance with the Transformational Development framework, policies and the country strategic objectives;
∎ Ensures that Livelihood materials and manuals are contextualized, appropriate and relevant to the needs of the community;
∎ Conduct routine project visits to assist staff in overcoming obstacles in delivering livelihood training/distribution;
∎ Ensure all livelihood data is submitted on time to the Senior Program Quality Manager and produce specific livelihood reports and data, when needed;
∎ Attend, participate, and contribute in livelihood cluster meetings, workshops, networking events;
∎ Collect and maintain livelihood data, research, and statistics, to be used in the future, and;
∎ Other Duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in the livelihood sector with a national or an international NGO;
∎ Experience in program design, implementation, management and monitoring and evaluation in Livelihood Program is preferred
∎ A commitment to serving the poor and in full agreement with FH's foundation and beliefs as expressed in The Heartbeat: our Values, Vision, and Purpose;
∎ Excellent people skills including warmth and sensitivity, conversational, ability to relate to and communicate with people from different cultures (at various levels within the organization);
∎ High integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics;
∎ Able to self-manage a diverse and dynamic set of responsibilities, proactively solve problems and or suggest viable solutions while advancing goals and objectives;
∎ Demonstrated computer operating skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Google platform, and virtual technologies such as Skype and / or GoToMeeting;
∎ Strong people management skills / interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, teach and mentor staff and volunteers;
∎ Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bengali;
∎ Medical fitness to live and travel in rural and urban areas with extreme conditions and limited medical support.
Salary:
∎ As per organizational salary scale.
